Typhoon Megi in 宜蘭

Typhoon Megi was supposed to have skipped Taiwan this time... Yet, it somehow decided to switch its gear came further up...

Though the typhoon is not supposed to come directly through Taiwan, many places already got whipped by the typhoon tail... 掃到風颱尾.... especially my hometown 宜蘭羅東....

So we called up relatives in 羅東... my family friends' living in 冬山 moved to a hotel and my cousin in 羅東 could not get home...

So they said... the way it felt like was as if the water simply poured down from the sky...



Another area that was affected really bad was 蘇澳... so they say... in some places the water came as high as two-three stories tall....

We used to go to 蘇澳 and 南方澳 for sea food....

According to the local people, they haven't seen flooding in 南方澳 for over 40 years...



What are typhoons still hanging around for now that it is almost November?
