Essentially, your build up theories purely based on what you find in the data. It is not a theory that you would get from off the shelf or from a textbook.
You as the researcher do the ground work, analyse and code the data to death and you generate the theory.
So they ask me why I want to choose the grounded theory approach...
I would really like to put in writing that...
"Because I have never done it before and I would like to do so. In addition, this is not my dissertation." 8-O lol
